Wallpaper Removal

Clear the canvas.

Removal is where most projects go wrong — torn drywall, ghost adhesive, layers of paper that were never meant to be pulled off. We take paper down the way it should have gone up: slowly, carefully, one layer at a time.

What we take down.

Wallpaper removal is the careful pull-down and adhesive cleanup of existing paper, leaving a wall ready to receive its next finish. We start by testing a small area to identify the paper, backing, and adhesive. Every home is covered — floors, furniture, fixtures — before we make a single cut. Warm water and natural solutions wherever possible; chemical strippers only where the paper genuinely requires them. The wall you're left with is ready to prime for whatever comes next.

  • Single-layer contemporary wallpaper
  • Multi-layer projects — decades of installs on one wall
  • Older homes and delicate substrates
  • Non-strippable and pre-pasted vinyl
  • Adhesive residue, sizing, and paint bleed-through

Priced by scope

Quoted separately from installation

Removal is priced separately because what's behind the paper matters as much as the square footage. Single-layer contemporary vinyl is straightforward; multi-layer removal or delicate substrates take longer. We'll write a clear scope after a walk-through so there are no surprises on the day.
